Seller's description

The Gibson J-185 Original Mahogany Gold Top VOS is a stunning Greatest Hits Collection instrument that reimagines a classic design with premium materials and modern playability. Inspired by Gibson's legendary Gold Top Les Pauls, this mini jumbo features a striking gold-colored Sitka spruce top paired with a mahogany body that delivers a warm, full tone with enhanced low-end presence—richer and deeper than traditional maple-backed J-185 models. Built for both comfort and performance, the SlimTaper mahogany neck provides a faster, more responsive feel, while scalloped X-bracing optimizes resonance and projection. The sound sits perfectly between the boom of a Super Jumbo and the balance of a smaller-bodied acoustic, making it versatile for any playing style. This instrument comes equipped with a stage-proven LR Baggs VTC electronics system, Gotoh tuning machines, a bound rosewood fingerboard, and a cream Les Paul-inspired pickguard. Every detail reflects Gibson Acoustic's commitment to quality craftsmanship.
