Seller's description

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Gibson flat-top guitars, the Gibson Custom Shop has designed this very special limited model. With just 100 examples made for the global market, we are so fortunate to have one in each of our two locations, Scarsdale and Soho. This Advanced Jumbo pays homage to some of the most rare and desirable instruments Gibson ever dreamed up - with some lovely added flare! Produced in a very brief window of years in the 1930s, the original Advanced Jumbos are still regarded as some of the finest acoustic guitars ever made. For this special run, Gibson has combined a stunning bear-claw spruce with a rosewood back and sides, staying true to the originals with some added cosmetic appeal. The beautiful new Cremona burst finish nicely highlights the unique grain in the spruce, and the back and sides have a clear gloss finish. A vintage-style pyramid bridge and firestripe pickguard further add to the classic styling of this instrument. Equipped with the iconic "diamond-and-arrow" mother of pearl fretboard inlays and a 25.5" scale, this guitar is a true AJ - not to be mistaken for the more common J-45 or Southern Jumbo. Finally, lovely abalone purfling around the top and soundhole complete this high-end version of a very special model.  Don't miss out on this very cool limited model! Come on by the shop or give us a call if you have any questions. Note: Serial #21386011 is in Soho, shown in the photos with the white background. Serial #20976029 is in Scarsdale, shown displayed in the shop. It is natural for this finish to have slight variations in shading from guitar to guitar.  From Gibson: "A very special Advanced Jumbo Limited Edition celebrating 100 Years of Gibson Flat-Tops In celebration of 100 Years of Gibson Flat-Tops, Gibson Custom is proud to introduce the Advanced Jumbo Anniversary Limited Edition.
