Seller's description

MG-G005 I have put good condition as it really is a player guitar the pictures are honest and any viewing/trial at our shop - M-Guitars - 6 High Street, Downham Market, Norfolk would be welcomed, in fact encouraged. They call this a 1972 Custom because of it's design, to separate it from the other Telecaster Custom guitars. This CBS Era (F Series) guitar was made in 1976 Bought at Guitar Village in Melbourne Australia, I have personally owned this guitar for over three decades. It comes with a tweed hard case that has been around the world a few times. The beautiful patina that you see is all natural wear and tear from many many years of loving use. Some Wiki info - Fender launched their new Telecaster Custom in 1972 alongside the similar Telecaster Deluxe, which sported Wide Range humbuckers in both positions—making it even more similar to the Les Paul—and had a larger, CBS-era Stratocaster-style headstock. Few well-known players of the time picked up on the Custom, although Keith Richards (who used one as his main guitar from 1975 until 1983) and Peter Buck in the early years of R.E.M. were fans. As far as I can tell the bridge pick-up was swapped out prior to my purchasing it but it is very typical sounding and very balanced, everyone who see's and plays this absolutely loves it...
