Instruments from this period are known for a heavier build, often using denser Ash for the body. This era saw the continued use of the "F" style tuning machines and a shift towards thicker "poly" (polyester/polyurethane) finishes compared to the thinner nitrocellulose used in earlier decades. Sunburst was a premium classic finish that beautifully showcased the grain of the Ash body.
