Seller's description

1986 Fender Japan Telecaster Custom CTC-55M Ash Black (also known as the TC-72), made in Japan at the renowned Fuji-gen factory for Fender. A model faithful to the legendary 1972 Telecaster Custom, renowned for its build quality and remarkable versatility. *Hand-selected and imported from Japan by us* Expert craftsmanship and a comfortable neck. The pickup configuration pairs a Wide Range Humbucker in the neck position with a Telecaster single-coil at the bridge. The result is exceptionally versatile: the neck pickup delivers a round, warm, and powerful tone—ideal for blues, jazz, or rock—while the bridge pickup offers all the attack, "twang," and precision characteristic of a true Telecaster. In the middle position, the two pickups produce a rich, balanced, and highly dynamic sound. Fairly lightweight with excellent resonance, thanks in particular to its Sen Ash body. Very good overall condition with some signs of use; the frets are also in very good condition for their age (rated 7 to 7.5/10—see photos for details).
