From the listing
This Fender Telecaster By Dan Smith is owned by Greg Howe An evolution of Greg Howe's signature sound, this Tobacco Burst Telecaster is another masterpiece custom-built by the legendary Dan Smith at the same time as Greg’s iconic Candy Apple Red Strat. This guitar shares the same cutting-edge features, but with a distinctly Telecaster twist. With its classic Tobacco Burst finish and white pick-guard, this guitar maintains the vintage Tele look, while offering modern playability with a 25" scale length, providing a slightly lower string tension and making it easier for big stretches—ideal for Greg’s technical playing style. It also features a Floyd Rose tremolo, 24-fret neck, and 17" radius, offering unparalleled precision and comfort. The guitar’s coil tap switch gives you a wide range of tonal possibilities—from thick humbucker sounds to brighter, snappier tones in single-coil mode, all with the familiar 3-way blade switch. This Telecaster isn't just about specs—it’s about musical moments that have defined Greg’s career: Used to record “Present - Moment” from the second collaboration album with Richie Kotzen, "Project" Featured in the opening country-inspired licks of “Crack It Way Open” from the "Extraction" album Played on most of the song “Side Note” from "Sound Proof" Though this guitar didn't join Michael Jackson's HIStory World Tour, its studio legacy is undeniable, having shaped some of Greg's most iconic tracks. This is your chance to own a unique piece of Greg Howe’s musical evolution—a guitar built for versatility, expression, and timeless sound Serial Number : SN6937852 Back plate removed. Very fast neck given its wide but slim profile. This guitar plays like butter! The edges of the fretboard have a rolled edge feel to them. There are some minor scuffs and surface scratches here and there from use over the years but overall this guitar is in really great shape cosmetically speaking. The neck plate shows the most signs of aging as its pretty tarnished.
