Feel free to ask for more details. Also, please carefully read our shop policy below the guitar description! ---------------------------------- Fender guitars from the 1970s have been experiencing a resurgence in popularity in recent years. Based on the serial number, neck date, and the sticker at the body joint, this particular guitar is believed to have been manufactured in 1978. Weighing in at approximately 4.64 kg, it’s a heavyweight typical of that era, but this lends it a powerful low-to-midrange, and the sound—with its tenacious sustain—felt incredibly satisfying to play. It pairs exceptionally well with thick, driving tones. The natural finish has faded to a deep, rich patina. Countless scratches—evoking the image of a guitar that’s been played hard— and wear on the fretboard finish lend it a dignified, seasoned character. The pickups have been replaced by the previous owner with Fender Custom Shop Nocaster pickups. Designed to recreate the tight low end and clear, balanced midrange of a single-coil pickup from the Nocaster era, these pickups seem to pair exceptionally well with this heavyweight instrument. The frets appear to have approximately 50–60% of their original material remaining on average. Wear along the strings is visible, particularly on the lower frets. While there are currently no major issues with playability, it may require refretting or similar work in the future. Please be aware of this. The tension pins for the 3rd and 4th strings are missing. We tested the truss rod with super-light gauge strings (.09–.42) and confirmed that, starting from a straight position, there is at least half a turn of adjustment remaining in the tightening direction.
