2000 Fender Standard Stratocaster – 3-Colour Sunburst – Made in Mexico PRE-OWNED | BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED | 2000 MEXICAN FENDER A Beautifully Preserved Fender Standard Stratocaster We’re delighted to offer this lovely 2000 Fender Standard Stratocaster, finished in the timeless 3-Colour Sunburst with a rosewood fingerboard. Made in Fender’s Ensenada factory in Mexico, this is a wonderful example of the Mexican Standard Stratocasters that have earned such a loyal following over the years. Now approximately 26 years old, this particular guitar has clearly been cherished. The beautifully preserved sunburst finish retains a wonderful depth and gloss, and the overall presentation is particularly impressive for an instrument of this age. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find older Mexican Standards that haven’t accumulated considerable wear, making this a particularly appealing example. Classic Fender Styling and Tone The traditional 3-Colour Sunburst finish looks beautiful against the white scratchplate, rosewood fingerboard and natural maple headstock. The body displays the familiar golden amber centre, transitioning through warm reddish tones to the deep black outer edges. The glossy finish catches the light beautifully and gives the guitar a wonderfully traditional appearance. A comfortable maple neck and rosewood fingerboard provide the familiar Stratocaster playing feel, while three single-coil pickups and a five-way selector offer the versatility that has made the Strat one of the world’s most popular electric guitars. From bright, articulate bridge-pickup sounds to warm neck-pickup tones and the characteristic combinations in between, there’s plenty of scope for blues, rock, pop, country and much more.
