There are vintage basses, and then there are statement pieces. This Capri Orange 1962 Fender Precision Bass is both. Visually striking and sonically foundational, it represents one of the most important eras in electric bass history, when simple design and inspired craftsmanship defined the sound of modern music.Built in 1962 by Fender, this Precision Bass carries all the hallmarks that made early-’60s examples so revered. The Capri Orange finish which was almost certainly a very early re-finish by its previous owner, sets this one apart immediately. It’s bold, vibrant, and undeniably cool, ageing with real character over decades of use. This bass is in Very Good condition and does show substantial wear from honest play. Expect visible finish wear, marks, and signs of a life spent making music. None of it feels abusive, rather, it tells the story of an instrument that has been used as intended.
