Summary Finish: Original finish except for refinished area over the filled route around the pickup cavity. Body Material: Ash Neck Material: Maple Neck Profile: Soft V Neck Thickness (IN): 1st - .91 12th - .99" Fingerboard Radius: 7.25" Nut Width: 1-11/16" Scale Length: 34 Electronics: Non-original single-coil pickup with volume and tone controls. The volume and tone controls are original to the guitar. There are no visible pot codes because of the solder joints. Pickup Measurements: 7.90kΩ Hardware: Original hardware. Missing metal bridge and pickup covers. Weight: 8 lbs Cosmetic Condition: This vintage bass shows heavy play wear, with dings and scratches throughout. There are multiple areas where the finish has been worn through to bare wood, most notably on the back of the body near the bass side horn. Modifications/Repairs: -Pickup has been replaced. -At some point the body was routed for a larger pickup. The route has since been filled and finished over. Serial Number: 1183 Tech Notes: This bass plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The frets are medium height with minimal wear. The serial number on the bridge dates to 1954. There are two 1954 body dates visible. The neck heel has a 1956 pencil date (see pics). Case Details: Hardshell Case
