What a wonderful project with the Fender Custom Shop in 2008. The story: "Beat Club" was a german TV-Music Show from Radio Bremen where most bands had their live performance from 1965 till 1972. Bands like Jeff Beck Group, Bee Gees, Black Sabbath, Chuck Berry, Chicago, Eric Clapton, Fleedwood Mac, Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Santana, The Who and many, many more, had performed before the acoustic sound wall in Radio Bremens Studio 3. When the complete studio building was demolished, we took a couple of the acoustic wall stones for our project with the Fender Custom Shop. You will see in the photo with The Who in the certificate the wall stones in the back. Fenders Custom Shop production manager Mike Eldred and Master Builder Mark Kendrick made it happen. In 2008 Mark and Mike flew over to Germany/Hamburg during our No.1 Guitar Center Vintage Show and presented the "Beat Club" Telecaster together with Jörg Sonntag from Radio Bremen and the German Fender Custom Shop Manager Gernold Linke in Hamburg. 10 limited guitars had been made. A piece of the wall stone was inlayed in the body and sits on top of a 23k gold leaf. Apart from a few possible minor changes, this guitar is original.
