Combining traditional Fender styling with a distinctive modified pickup configuration, this guitar offers a wider tonal range than a standard Telecaster. This particular example has been modified to feature three single-coil pickups and a five-way selector switch, following the popular Nashville Telecaster configuration. This setup brings additional tonal flexibility, offering a combination of classic Telecaster sounds alongside the extra versatility associated with a Stratocaster-style pickup arrangement. The three-pickup configuration provides a broad selection of sounds, from bright, cutting Telecaster tones to fuller and more rounded combinations, making it suitable for a wide variety of musical styles. The five-way switching allows players to explore different pickup combinations, providing plenty of options for both clean and overdriven sounds. Manufactured in Korea in 2005, the Lite Ash series offers an appealing alternative to traditional Fender models, with its own distinctive character and build quality. This is a particularly interesting example for anyone looking for a Telecaster with something a little different, combining familiar Fender feel and character with the added versatility of a Nashville-style pickup arrangement.
