Fender Deluxe 6G3 Brownface 1961- 1963 - Brown

Seller's description

This one comes with a clean bill of health and a receipt of check up. It's not everyday you will find a turn-key Fender Brownface Deluxe at this price. It has been said, time and time again that these Brown Deluxe Amps are the desert island amps. And for that, we have to agree. The dynamic range of the 6G3 circuit is unmatched. We are clearing out shop and have kept this one off the market until now. This one has a lot of mojo. In its previous life, the original owner seemed to have added a thin coat of clear lacquer on the original tolex, and replaced the grill cloth. Don't let its outside appearance fool you, it is a keeper. The Jensen P12Q is original and dates to the 50th week of 1961. It also sports the original power transformer dating to the 46th week 1961. It currently has a Mercury Magnetics updated output transformer and sounds killer. Another shop cleaned and tested the tubes, added screen resistors, rebiased the amp, and put a grounded 3-prong power cable on it. We added a new premium quality leather handle, but will include the one that originally came with it when we got it. The serial number dated on the chassis reads D 01503 which places it near the early Spring of 1962. Don't miss your chance on this vintage gem! This is an absolute must have option for recording. I would highly encourage using a BrownBox or similar voltage reducer to protect this amp from the modern wall voltages. It truly preserves the tone and ensures the life of the components. The rarity of this early model make this one a great find. Please view my other listings for more vintage Fender amps. Disclaimer: Only the Deluxe amp described in this listing is for sale. The other amps will be sold in separate listings. Please view all photos as they are a part of this amp's description.
