Seller's description

Step back into the early ’60s with this masterfully crafted 1961 Stratocaster® NOS from the Fender Custom Shop. Dressed in a nitrocellulose lacquer finish in Sonic Blue, its 2-piece select alder body delivers the resonant, balanced tone that defined a generation of music. The quartersawn maple neck is shaped to a comfortable 1960 Oval “C” profile, topped with a AAA rosewood fingerboard featuring vintage clay dot inlays and 21 jumbo 6100 frets. A 9.5" radius and bone nut ensure modern playability while preserving classic feel, while the hand-rubbed nitro finish keeps the neck smooth and broken-in. Under the hood, this Strat is loaded with a trio of Custom Shop Hand-Wound Texas Special single-coil pickups, wired with Strat Vintage Modified Wiring #2 for versatile tonal options. The 5-way switch unlocks everything from glassy neck tones to biting bridge sounds, making it a true workhorse for any style. Premium hardware includes a Custom Shop Vintage Strat bridge, vintage-style tuners with the Fender® logo, a ’60s-style nitro pickguard, and vintage white control knobs. Every detail captures the authenticity of an early-’60s Strat while offering the refinement and reliability of Custom Shop craftsmanship.
