Seller's description

Fender Custom Shop '60 Tele Custom Journeyman Relic - British Racing Green Step into the golden age of electric guitars with this magnificent Fender Custom Shop '60 Tele Custom Journeyman Relic. This instrument is a masterclass in vintage feel and tone, designed in collaboration with Palen Music Center. Built around an Alder body—a classic tonewood choice known for its balanced, resonant sound and solid midrange presence—it provides the perfect sonic foundation. The striking British Racing Green finish, complemented by the Journeyman Relic treatment, gives the guitar the authentic look and feel of a cherished instrument that has seen countless gigs, with light lacquer checking and gentle play wear. This is more than a guitar; it’s a time machine that delivers the iconic Telecaster legacy with a twist of P-90 grit. What truly sets this custom Tele apart is the potent, non-traditional pickup combination. The neck position features a Seymour Duncan Antiquity P90, delivering that legendary, fat single-coil sound—full of midrange growl, punchy attack, and a sweet, singing top end, a tone famously embraced by players across blues, rock, and jazz. Paired with a Hand-Wound Original Black Guard (OBG) Tele bridge pickup, this axe offers the best of both worlds: the articulate, biting twang of a vintage Tele bridge blended with the thick, throaty chime of a P-90 in the neck. The vintage-style '60 Oval "C" neck profile and 9.5" radius Rosewood fingerboard provide a comfortable, broken-in feel right out of the case, perfect for classic bends and lightning-fast runs.
