Serial Number: R142890 Instrument Weight: 7.50 lbs Neck Depth: .89-.94 A Fender Custom Shop 1951 Nocaster Relic that leans fully into the worn-in, road-tested vibe of an original blackguard. Finished in Super Aged Nocaster Blonde over a lightweight, off-center 2-piece ash body, this one has the look and feel of a true veteran—complete with heavy ghosting, dirty checking, and all the subtle imperfections that make a great relic come alive in your hands. The rift sawn maple neck carries a substantial ‘51 “U” carve, delivering that unmistakable early Tele feel—full, round, and incredibly comfortable. The compound 7.25"–12" radius and narrow tall frets strike a perfect balance between vintage correctness and modern playability, making it equally suited for first-position chord work and bending up high without fretting out. Tone comes courtesy of hand-wound ’51 Nocaster pickups, bringing all the snap, bite, and woody midrange you’d expect from a great early-’50s Fender. The 51 Mod wiring adds a bit of extra versatility while staying true to the original character, giving you everything from warm, rounded neck tones to cutting bridge twang with plenty of dynamic response. Vintage-correct hardware, brass saddles, and classic appointments round it out, but it’s the feel that really sets this one apart. Lightweight, resonant, and already broken-in, this is the kind of Tele that feels like it’s been yours for decades the moment you pick it up.
