Seller's description

One of the earliest iterations of the Fender Champ, this 1951 Fender Champion 600 features the TV front-style cabinet design with a charming two-tone covering. The circuit is the same used through the 5B1 model and features a 6SJ7 octal preamp tube. The use of an octal tube provides a unique, midrange-focused sound, setting it apart from the later 5E1/5F1 styles that use the 9-pin 12AX7.Internally, the power cord and electrolytic capacitors have been replaced, and the death cap has been removed, but everything else remains original. This amp is in very good condition for its age, with light signs of wear present. Preamp: 6SJ7 Power: 6V6 Rectifier: 5Y3 Wattage: 4 Watts Circuit: 5B1 Speaker: Original Alnico 6" Transformers: Original Notes: Changed power cord and electrolytic caps. Otherwise all original.
