Fender American Professional II Telecaster - Butterscotch Blonde The Telecaster is the genesis of the electric guitar as we know it—a plank of wood, a bolted-on neck, and a sound that changed the world. The American Professional II Telecaster in Butterscotch Blonde pays homage to the original 1950s "Blackguard" aesthetic while integrating seventy years of innovation for the modern player. Unlike the standard alder bodies found in the rest of the line, this specific model features a lightweight, resonant Roasted Pine body. Historically used by Leo Fender for prototypes due to its complex tone and punch, pine has been roasted here to remove moisture and increase stability, delivering a sound that is harmonically rich and incredibly lively. While the look is pure vintage, the feel is undeniably contemporary. The "Deep C" maple neck features "Super-Natural" satin finishing and rolled fingerboard edges, eliminating the sharp, sticky feel of new instruments and replacing it with the comfort of a well-loved favorite. Fender has also sculpted the neck heel to provide effortless access to the upper register, a welcome change for lead players used to fighting the traditional blocky joint. The V-Mod II single-coil pickups are voiced to capture the specific sonic characteristics of each position, offering the classic twang and bite you expect, but with a newfound articulation that prevents muddiness even when driven hard. The American Professional II also solves one of the Telecaster’s oldest debates: top-load vs. string-through. The custom bridge features compensated brass "bullet" saddles and allows you to choose your stringing path. String through the body for maximum sustain and snap, or top-load for a slinkier feel and softer attack—perfect for bending and hybrid picking. Whether you are chasing the ghost of Keith Richards or forging a new sonic path, this guitar offers a professional standard of reliability and tone. Why Buy A Guitar From Palen Music Center? Palen
