The Fender Custom Shop '53 Telecaster Time Capsule is a true classic. This guitar is based on the original 1953 Telecaster and features all the iconic design elements that have made it one of the most popular guitars of all time. The duo of the original hand-mounted black bridge pickup and the twisted tele neck pickup provide the perfect balance of warmth and clarity, delivering the classic '50s sound so sought-after by today's guitarists. What's more, the '50s wiring and 3-position blade offer even more tonal options, making this guitar incredibly versatile. Fender's Custom Shop pays tribute to the Telecaster of the '50s with its Time Capsule. Its body, shaped in the classic maker's form, is made from select ash and finished in a faded colour that adds to its appeal. The blond Nocaster is finished in a faded colour that adds to its vintage appeal. The neck is made from quarter-sawn maple, highlighted by a nitrocellulose lacquer finish and features a 1954 U-shape for added comfort. To keep the guitar safe, it also comes with a deluxe case.
