c1972 Yamaha SA-50T (Japan, Natural)*

Seller's description

The SA-50 launched in 67 and was done by 72, so this is one from toward the tail end. Featuring the iconic plastic insert F-holes. Split block mother of pearl inlays, rosewood board, zero fret. Nice little flicker of figure through the maple top and back. Original pickups, frets have a reasonable amount of life left, action is low and comfy. Truss rod functioning well, which is always a blessing. The SA-50T was among of the first Yamaha instruments to feature an adjustable neck. Missing its trem arm due to some sort of wild rockabilly adventure, probably. We've previously made replicas out of dessert spoons, so if you'd like to engage us in this service make it known at time of purchase. We're also keen to try using bicycle kickstands or those springy metal doorstops that cats love. No case for this one either, hence the price. Dealio! SN17178, weight 3.20
