Seller's description

Another from the collection of legendary Jethro Tull Guitarist Martin Barre, we have this excellent condition Blackstar JJN-20H head and matching JJN-212VOC cabinet,  Developed in collaboration with Jared James Nichols, the JJN-20H takes Blackstar's popular HT-20 platform and revoices it with a more vintage-inspired character. Producing 20 watts from a pair of EL84 valves and an ECC83 preamp valve, it delivers everything from rich, articulate cleans to thick, dynamic overdrive, with plenty of touch sensitivity and the kind of expressive response that rewards nuanced playing. The amp features two footswitchable channels, Blackstar's patented ISF control for shaping the overall voicing from a more American to British character, built-in reverb, an effects loop and a power reduction mode for achieving driven valve tones at more manageable volumes. Whether used on stage, in the studio or at home, it offers an impressive range of tones in a compact package. Included is the matching JJN-212VOC cabinet, loaded with a pair of Celestion speakers and finished in Racing Green Tolex, Together, the head and cabinet make for a striking rig with excellent projection, warmth and punch. Adding further appeal, this particular setup was previously owned by Martin Barre, whose distinctive guitar work helped shape the sound of Jethro Tull for over four decades. A fantastic opportunity to own a versatile modern valve amplifier with genuine rock pedigree.
