2024 Gibson Custom Shop 1968 Les Paul Standard Goldtop Reissue (Pre-owned) The Gibson Custom Shop 1968 Les Paul Standard Goldtop Reissue is a meticulously-crafted replica of the scarce 'first-batch' 1968 Les Paul, featuring the distinctive crown headstock inlay, 14° headstock angle and period-correct contours. Built with a one-piece solid mahogany back, two-piece plain maple top and long-tenon mahogany neck, it has an Authentic ’68 Medium C profile, Indian rosewood fingerboard and a pair of Custom Soapbar P-90s, giving it the characteristic punchy, articulate tone of the original late-'60s Goldtops. Finished in 60s Gold nitrocellulose lacquer with an ABR-1 bridge, stop tailpiece and Gibson Deluxe tuners, this Custom Shop reissue is supplied with its Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case and original paperwork. This example is in excellent condition overall, with only a small blemish to the back of the neck and a couple of small marks on the body (see photos).
