2024 Fender Player II Stratocaster – Coral Red – Rosewood   A great example of Fender’s updated Player II Stratocaster, finished in the fantastic Coral Red and dating from 2024.   The Player II range kept everything people liked about the original Player Series but refined the feel considerably, with rolled fingerboard edges, a comfortable Modern “C” neck, satin finish to the back of the neck and Fender’s ClassicGear tuners.   This one also has a very tasteful cosmetic upgrade — the original parchment pickguard has been replaced with a mint green guard, which looks fantastic against the Coral Red finish and aged white plastics.   Construction is classic Strat throughout, with an alder body, maple neck and slab rosewood fingerboard. The neck has a 9.5” radius, 22 medium jumbo frets and a 25.5” scale length, giving it that familiar Fender balance between easy chord work, bends and faster playing.   The three Player Series Alnico V single-coils deliver all the familiar Strat sounds, from clear rounded neck tones and the classic in-between positions through to plenty of bite from the bridge pickup. Switching is via the traditional 5-way blade, with master volume and two tone controls.   Condition is near mint overall.
