Seller's description

A superb 2021 PRS Silver Sky, finished in the spectacular Lunar Ice finish - one of just 1,000 produced worldwide. Developed by PRS and John Mayer, the Silver Sky takes its cues from Mayer’s favourite early-’60s single-coil guitars, particularly instruments from 1963 and ’64, but approaches the formula very much in PRS fashion. The Lunar Ice version was announced for 2021 as a limited run of 1,000 guitars, pairing the familiar Silver Sky platform with a unique polychromatic “flip-flop” finish. Depending on the angle and light it moves through shades of blue, purple, pink and green, and in person it’s far more dramatic than photographs tend to suggest. Features include an Alder body, bolt-on maple neck and maple fingerboard, with a 25.5” scale length, 7.25” radius and 22 frets. The Lunar Ice edition uses the original 635JM neck carve, along with PRS small bird inlays and a bone nut. Nickel hardware includes PRS vintage-style locking tuners and the PRS steel tremolo. The bridge is set flush to the body from the factory, giving downward tremolo movement while increasing contact between bridge and body. This guitar remains setup that way and given the superb condition and the fact the pickguard still retains it's protective film, it's clear it's not seen much use over the years.  The three 635JM single coils are controlled by a traditional master volume, two tone controls and 5-way selector. These pickups are a big part of the Silver Sky appeal: rounder and fuller than some vintage-style single coils, but still with plenty of sparkle, clarity and that familiar hollow chime in the in-between positions. PRS specifically developed them to retain a musical top end without becoming overly sharp or brittle. The vintage radius, fairly substantial 635JM neck and responsive single coils give it plenty of old-school character, while the locking tuners, stable tremolo and typically precise PRS build make it an extremely easy instrument to live with. All in all, one of the co
