Modern-ish Grand Concert jobby from Bobby T and the gang, built at El Cajon. The 814ce is near to the top of the range now, and also was then. Spruce top, rosewood back and sides, cutaway "grand concert" round shoulder dread-ish body shape with a bolt-on mahogany neck, 20 frets with the heel at the 14th. Maple-bound crelicam streaky ebony fingerboard, with a matching headstock cap. The 2014 iteration of the 814ce introduced modifications to the core spec - re-voiced scalloped bracing, the dynamic Expression System 2 (ES2) pickup, a significantly thinner gloss finish (3.5mm) for increased resonance, and protein glues. Lighter weight Taylor-branded GOTOHs on the peghead and a swoopy inlay motif are also new for this model year. 9/10 condition overall with heaps of fret life, strung up and singing with Elixir nanowebs, good neck angle (which can easily be maintained thanks to Taylor's bolt-on mounting tactic) and sensible playing action. No issues with truss rod. Comes in its original hard shell case. Weighs in at a paltry 2.1kg. SN 1107234127 which dates it to 23rd of July 2014
