This is a very cool and increasingly hard-to-find Gibson signature model built around Joan Jett's famously stripped-down approach to the electric guitar. Simple, lightweight, and made to rock, the Joan Jett Melody Maker combines a solid mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, and a single hot Gibson Burstbucker 3 humbucker in the bridge position. The controls are equally straightforward: master volume, master tone, and a 2-position kill switch for instantly cutting the guitar's output. Finished in Gibson's Worn White finish with a zebra humbucker, black pickguard, and Joan Jett signature truss rod cover, this is an unmistakable signature model with tons of attitude and none of the unnecessary extras. And at only 6 lbs 6 oz, it's exceptionally lightweight and comfortable to play.
