The Gibson ES-345 BB King Vintage Sunburst is a U.S.-made semi-hollow electric guitar from Gibson’s historic ES line, combining classic hollow-body resonance with features geared toward versatility and refined tone. Its laminated maple body includes a solid maple centre block to reduce feedback while retaining the open, woody character associated with hollow instruments. The finish is Vintage Sunburst, which transitions from rich amber at the centre to darker hues around the edges and highlights the figured maple top beneath the gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. The neck is mahogany with a set-in joint, and the bound rosewood fingerboard carries 22 frets with block inlays, providing a traditional feel across its approximately 24.75-inch scale. Electronics on the ES-345 pair alnico-magnet humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls, plus a master volume and master tone, all routed through a Varitone rotary switch that offers multiple mid-range filtering positions.
