Seller's description

The 2006 Epiphone Dot in Cherry Red is a beautifully styled semi-hollow electric guitar that captures the timeless appearance, warm tonal character and exceptional versatility of the legendary Gibson ES-335 design. Combining classic double-cutaway styling with traditional semi-hollow construction, the Epiphone Dot has become a favourite among guitarists seeking vintage-inspired looks and expressive humbucker tones without the premium price of an American-made Gibson. This particular instrument dates to February 2006, with serial number EE06023594, identifying it as an early-2006 Chinese-made Epiphone produced at the Qingdao facility. The Dot features a laminated maple body with a solid mahogany centre block, combining the natural resonance of a hollowbody instrument with the improved sustain and feedback control of a semi-hollow design. Its traditional set maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and 22-fret construction provide a comfortable playing experience, while the familiar 24.75-inch scale length offers the expressive string response associated with classic Gibson-style guitars. The original model specification features a pair of Epiphone Alnico Classic humbuckers, providing a versatile selection of tones ranging from warm jazz cleans and expressive blues to crunchy classic rock rhythm sounds and sustaining lead guitar. Individual volume and tone controls for each pickup allow players to shape their sound precisely, while the traditional three-way pickup selector provides immediate access to neck, bridge and combined pickup sounds. Finished in a striking Cherry Red, this Epiphone Dot features the elegant double-cutaway body, traditional f-holes, chrome hardware and understated dot fingerboard inlays that have made the design so enduring. This particular example is presented in Very Good Pre-Owned Condition, weighs 8.2 lbs (approximately 3.72kg) and comes complete with a hardcase.
