Up for sale, a 2004 Fender Limited Edition Telecaster ‘71 vintage reissue model TL71 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Featuring a custom Antigua finish that was first introduced by Fender in the 1970s, this limited run “Crafted in Japan” Telecaster features a basswood body and a one-piece maple neck, offering a smooth, balanced natural acoustic profile. The TL-Current pickups deliver chewy twang in the bridge position, and the neck pickup has a throaty, bell-like fullness and percussive cut. Weighing 7lbs 7oz, this Telecaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation. Neck Specs: Wood: Maple Shape: Medium C, measuring .835” at 1st fret, .930” at 12th fret Fretboard: Maple, 7 1/4” vintage-spec radius Frets: Slender, no wear Scale Length: 25 1/2” Nut: 1 5/8”, bone Tuners: Schaller F-stamped Serialization: “Crafted in Japan,” R-prefix Factory Markings: TL71 stamped, ‘Antigua’ written on neck heel Body Specs: Wood: Basswood Pickups: TL-Current single coil x2 Controls: Volume, Tone, three-way pickup selector Hardware: “Pat. Pend” three-saddle bridge with steel barrel saddles, flat-top knurled knobs Plastics: Antigua-finished pickguard, top hat switch tip The limited edition Antigua Finish shows some checking at the corners of the neck pocket, with minor pick wear through the gloss on the pickguard, and a few additional marks on the body as a whole. There is a bit of shallow wear on the treble side of the fretboard from frets 1-8, and the gloss finish on the neck profile is otherwise smooth and clean. The original-branded Fender gigbag is included.
