Produced at the Fujigen factory during the golden age of Fender Japan production, this “Made in Japan” Jazz Bass is uncommon outside its country of origin.Weighing 9lbs 2oz, tonewoods comprise a basswood body, maple neck, and thick slab rosewood fretboard, delivering a balanced acoustic quality that translates well through the single coil pickups. The bridge pickup offers a smooth growl and distinctive upper midrange character, accentuating the top end articulation of a set of fresh roundwound 45-100 strings. The neck pickup, in contrast, has a thicker, broader tonality, with a present thump.
