The whole point of the model was that it wasn’t just another glued-neck Gibson shape with chrome hardware screwed onto it. Strip away the original design and construction ideas and you’re left with a watered-down version built to satisfy production efficiency and boardroom margins rather than the reason people loved Firebirds in the first place....This 1990 example still has all the stuff that matters intact, built back when a Firebird actually meant a Firebird. It’s been played, it’s 36 years old, it is not mint. Some cloudy finish near the headstock and a moved strap pin, but overall a killer proper-era example. Weight: 3.55kg.
