Seller's description

The 1983 Yamaha SG-3000S in Black Metallic represents the very top end of Yamaha’s celebrated Japanese SG range, combining elaborate construction, premium appointments and powerful electronics in one of the company’s most ambitious electric guitar designs. Introduced during Yamaha’s early-1980s push towards increasingly sophisticated high-performance electrics, the SG-3000 family sat at the summit of the range. Its construction centres around a mahogany and maple body, laminated through-neck, ebony fingerboard and twin Yamaha Spinex humbuckers, giving it a powerful, sustaining response with plenty of clarity and definition. This example is finished in the highly distinctive Black Metallic finish with gold hardware and ornate binding, giving it the unmistakable premium appearance associated with the SG-3000S. This Pre-Owned example is in Very Good condition, weighs 10.98 lbs, and includes a hardcase.
