Seller's description

Up for sale, a 1983 Fender Precision Bass Elite II in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. This uncommon Elite II dates to the beginning of a very limited production run that ran from mid-1983 to early '85; an upscale USA-made P Bass with active electronics, this bass boasts two split coil pickups that have an incredible amount of tonal range and a slender, fast-feeling neck profile.Weighing 9lbs, tonewoods include an alder body and a one-piece maple neck, yielding plenty of fundamental punch and sustain for a balanced, smooth tone. Whether you seek more treble-focused growl or thick thump, the Elite II's intuitive control layout allows you to easily dial in the sound you need, with far more tonal variance typically offered by the standard Precision design. This Precision Bass Elite II benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 45-105 roundwound strings, comfortable action, and accurate intonation.Neck Specs:Wood: MapleShape: Slender C, measuring .805” at the 1st fret, .935” at the 12th fretFretboard: Maple, 7 1/4” radius, black dot inlaysFrets: Medium jumbo, leveled/crownedScale Length: 34”Nut: 1 3/4”, boneTuners: Clover buttonSerialization: E3-prefixBody Specs:Wood: AlderPickups: Split coil x2Controls: Volume x2, Tone, pickup selector mini toggle, “tone assign” mini toggle (Bridge, Both, Neck)Harness: Untouched solder, CTS pots date to 9th week of ‘83Hardware: Heavy Cast toploader bridgePlastics: Three-ply parchment pickguard (shielded), flat-top ridged knobs (F-stamped)Factory Markings: Neck heel date stamped May 2, 1983; body date stamped ‘May 10’The gloss three-tone Sunburst finish has an area of modest buckle rash at the belly contour, moderate pick scuffing beyond the edge of the pickguard, and some minor dings and finish scratches in the clear coat.
