Seller's description

This early '80s Gibson ES-355TD gets two thumbs up for us - an absolute ripper of a semi-hollowbody that plays like a dream. This is a 1981 ES-355TD with a nicely aged Wine Red finish. Originally wired for stereo output, the guitar has been converted to mono along with a master volume control added. Believe it or not, the guitar was routed for a Kahler at some point (the '80s were a wild time) and it has since been converted back to a stopbar tailpiece. You can see the screw holes remaining on the headstock from when the Kahler locking nut was installed. The guitar has been refretted. Other than the Kahler route, the guitar blacklights well with no breaks or cracks to be seen. The guitar comes with the original case, TP6 tailpiece and the "Stereo" labeled truss rod cover. Includes: Original Case, TP6 Tailpiece, Stereo Truss Rod Cover Semi-Hollowbody Electric Guitar 8 lbs, 12 oz. .790" Neck Thickness at 1st Fret .990" Neck Thickness at 12th Fret Wine Red Finish Maple Body (Routed for Kahler and Filled/Refinished) Ebony Fingerboard (Refretted) Block Inlays 24 3/4" Scale Length 1-11/16" Nut Width 12" Radius Original Patent Stamped Humbuckers Aftermarket Stopbar Tailpiece Added (TP6 in Case) Modded for Master Volume Control, Mono Output Gibson Flip-Out Crank Tuners Gold Hardware
