Seller's description

Reverty Used Guitars Japan — every instrument inspected, set up, and played before listing. 1979-1981 Yamaha Studio Lord SL400S Brown Sunburst - Made in Japan A genuine Japanese vintage single-cut from Yamaha's Studio Lord line. The SL400S pairs classic single-cut looks - dual humbuckers, trapezoid inlays, bound neck and a tune-o-matic style bridge with stop tailpiece - with a bolt-on neck. It is a player's piece with plenty of honest playwear. The SL400S was added in 1979 as part of the second-generation Studio Lord series. It appears in Yamaha's 1980 catalog and was replaced by the SL450S and SL550S in 1982, so it was built for only a few years. This example wears a brown sunburst finish and shows the vintage mojo of four decades of use. == SPECIFICATIONS == - Model: Yamaha Studio Lord SL400S - Year: 1979-1981 - Country of Origin: Japan (MADE IN JAPAN stamped on neck plate) - Color: Brown Sunburst - Neck: Bolt-on (4-bolt neck plate) - Fingerboard: Rosewood, trapezoid inlays, bound - Scale length: 640 mm (as measured) - Nut width: 42 mm - Neck thickness: 21 mm at 1st fret / 26 mm at 12th fret - Pickups: Two humbuckers - Controls: 2 Volume, 2 Tone - Pickup selector: 3-way - Bridge: Tune-o-matic style bridge with stop tailpiece - Tuners: Yamaha die-cast tuners (YAMAHA JAPAN stamped) - Weight: 4.2 kg (approx. 9.3 lbs), measured == CONDITION == Overall: Good - Body: Scratches, dings and finish chips/wear, most noticeable on the back and edges - Headstock: Finish chips on the top edge of the headstock - Neck: Good condition, truss rod has plenty of adjustment left - Frets: Approximately 60-70% remaining - Hardware: Tarnish consistent with age (vintage patina); nut, bridge, saddles and tuners in good order - Electronics: Tested and fully functional - No modifications as received.
