Seller's description

Up for sale, a 1978 Fender Telecaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case, hangtags and case candy. This Telecaster boasts an uncommonly figured ash body and one-piece maple neck with a full '50s-style profile carve. Acoustically, the guitar has a smooth, snappy tone with a nice midrange kick that’s present yet not too pronounced. The original single coils offer an array of classic Tele tonalities, with a biting, clear bridge pickup that equal parts chewy twang, complex midrange, and taut, sinewy low end. The neck pickup has a smooth, rich sound that's still sparkling and clear. Notably lightweight (especially for this era of production) at only 7lbs 4oz, this Telecaster has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation. Neck Specs: Wood: Maple Shape: Medium U, measuring .845” 1st fret, .920” 12th fret Fretboard: Maple, 7 1/4” radius Frets: Slender, faint wear favoring the plain strings on frets 1-4 Scale Length: 25 1/2” Nut: 1 5/8”, bone Tuners: F-stamped Serialization: S8-prefix Body Specs: Wood: Ash Pickups: Single coil x2 Controls: Volume, Tone, Three-way pickup selector Harness: CTS 1 Meg pots date to the 48th week of 1978 Hardware: Bridge with steel barrel saddles, “ashtray” bridge cover, flat-top knurled knobs (replacement) Plastics: Three-ply black pickguard, “top hat” switch tip The Butterscotch gloss finish is 100% original with no touch-up or overspray, and tight curly flame figuring extends subtly across the top and back. There is a small bit of finish discoloration at the bass-side waist, light pick scuffing across the multi-ply pickguard, and only a few minor dings and finish scratches on the body as a whole. The gloss finish on the neck profile is flawless. The original hardshell case and hangtags are included.
