Seller's description

A superb example of a late -’70s Fender Jazz Bass, this 1978 model comes in its original Sunburst finish with an Ash body, Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard. Complete with its original chrome bridge and pickup covers, it presents as a wonderfully original instrument with no changes or modifications. The condition is excellent throughout - just a few light scratches to the top and back, some minor dings along the edges, and a neck that remains in great shape with plenty of life left in the original frets. As you’d expect from a late -’70s Jazz, it’s on the heavier side, but it delivers the punch and presence that has made these basses such workhorses for countless players. The dual single-coil pickups give you the classic Jazz tonal palette - tight and articulate in the bridge position, smooth and rounded on the neck, with a wide range of usable tones when blended. Whether you’re after growling midrange bite, crisp clarity for funk and slap styles, or deep supportive lows for rock and soul, this bass covers the ground with ease. Complete with its original hard case, this is a fine example of a clean, all-original 1978 Jazz Bass - a classic working instrument with plenty of appeal for players and collectors.
