Seller's description

Guitar Collective is pleased to list this 1963 Fender Jaguar with a beautiful relic body and neck refinish in Olympic White (original color per previous owner) done my MJT in 2014. The finish work and aging on this guitar is fantastic. It really looks original other than the neck pocket (by design so it doesn't get passed off as original). The neck was also fully refinished, including the aged Olympic White headstock. The neck has that 1963 shape/feel that makes it one of people's favorite year for Pre-CBS Fender guitars. The neck has a perfect refret in what looks to be vintage size wire. The guitar appears to retain all of it's original parts on the guitar with the exception of the 2 pots and jack and cap. The main lead circuit currently utilizes two newer replacement pots that perform flawlessly. The originals are included (more below*) and date to 48th week of 63 which is inline with the neck stamp of 1NOV63B. There is no mute/foam, but the tremolo bar is included. The original pickguard has shrunk and shows warping and shrinking. The guitar still retains its original Kluson single line tuners. The guitar plays and sounds fantastic. All electronics function as designed in both circuits. Some of the wires to the rhythm circuit have been respliced. The original white case is included but it is in poor shape. The wood has separated on both the top and bottom along the handle side. It is being held together by just the tolex and a couple of inches on each end where the wood hasn't separated. It would not be safe to hold the case by the handle with the guitar in it, but it will protect the guitar for shipping. I'm assuming it can be re-glued/re-attached but we'll leave that up to the next owner.*Both original pots have been carefully cleaned with compressed air and Deoxit and verified with a digital multimeter, testing within vintage factory tolerances of 20% at 920k ohms and 830k ohms with clean, complete sweeps from 0 ohms. They are fully functional and re
