Seller's description

Introduced in 1961 during the height of the American folk music revival, the "New Yorker" line served as Martin's very first historical reissue. It was explicitly designed to mimic the lightweight, small-bodied 12-fret parlor guitars Martin manufactured in the late 19th century. This '63 model was one of the last guitars to be built in the iconic North St Martin factory before the move to the current Sycamore St facility. Being a '63 you've also got the use of Brazilian Rosewood for the bridge, fingerboard and headplate. Lovely tortoiseshell binding. Serial number #191260. Includes a later Martin hardcase.
