Seller's description

We purchased this very fine early 1956 Fender Telecaster from its second owner. Doug's stepmom purchased the Tele and gave it to him to learn how to play the guitar on it in about 1967 when he was only 8 years old. He hadn't quite grown into it by then, so he mostly played on the 3/4 sized guitar the family also owned. Doug says that a majority of the wear on the guitar is from its first owner since he never really learned how to play.  Features: Early 1956 features include dome shaped knobs and round string tree. Check the pictures for the generous flame and figure in the Maple neck! Measurements: 8.3 lbs (3.75 kg) total weight. The neck measures 1.64" wide at the nut, 0.93" deep at the first fret, and 1.00" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 6.38k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 5.93k ohms.  Originality: All parts, finish, and solder are original to this guitar! The Potentiometers read 304541, 304 is the manufacturer code for Stackpole, 5 = 1955, 41 = 41st week. The neck heel date reads XA-2-56. The bridge pickup cavity reads 2-56. Playability: Excellent. The neck is straight, truss rod functions as intended, frets have little wear, and the electronics are clean and operate as intended. Condition: Very good with typical nicks, dings, and scratches.  Included: The original Koylon tag tweed case and strap are included.  Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
