From the listing
Up for sale, a 2019 Fender Custom Shop Vincent Van Trigt ‘60s Jazz Bass Heavy Relic in mint, 100% original condition, complete with the original hardshell case, CoA, hangtags, and case candy. Noted as a Van Trigt build on the floor traveler, this Jazz Bass was crafted just a few months before Van Trigt was elevated to “Master Builder,” featuring his signature Heavy Relic treatment over a Violin Burst finish.Born and raised in the Netherlands, Vincent Van Trigt began his expansive career with Fender shortly after moving to the United States in 2004. Rising from humble beginnings, Van Trigt began his work on the assembly line at the Corona, CA factory, subsequently migrating to the Fender Custom Shop in 2010. From there, Van Trigt spent another two years as Apprentice Master Builder at the Gretsch Custom Shop, returning to Fender in 2014 to study under esteemed Master Builder, John Cruz. With over a decade of experience and a seasoned understanding of the Fender brand under his belt, Van Trigt was granted the title of Master Builder in November of 2019, where increased demand for his meticulously crafted instruments resulted in a waitlist reportedly of 5-10 years. Van Trigt would end his tenure with Fender in ‘24, and his bass output was particularly limited.Weighing 8lbs 14oz, this Jazz Bass features a two-piece alder body and a quartersawn maple neck with a 7 ¼” radius and 6105 Narrow Tall fretwire. The Custom Shop ‘75 J-Bass single coil pickups, handwound by the current “Queen of the Custom Shop” Josefina Campos, are designed to pair vintage warmth and modern aggression, delivering a thick and focused low end with a present upper-midrange burp and treble-centric grind. This Custom Shop Vincent Van Trigt ‘60s Jazz Bass Heavy Relic has been professionally set up here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings, easy-playing action, and accurate intonation.Neck Specs:Wood: Maple (quartersawn)Shape: ‘60 J-Bass “U” (chunky), measuring .910” 1st fret, .99
