The 2013 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue in Aged Tobacco Burst is a premium Historic-spec recreation of one of the most revered electric guitars ever made. Commonly known as an R9, the 1959 Reissue is built around the classic combination of a lightweight mahogany body, figured maple top, one-piece mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard, with period-inspired hardware and electronics designed to capture the look, feel and response of an original late-1950s Les Paul Standard. This 2013 example features an aged Tobacco Burst finish, giving the guitar the worn-in character and visual depth associated with a well-played vintage instrument. A pair of Gibson Custombucker humbuckers delivers the articulate, dynamic PAF-inspired response for which this era of Custom Shop Historic production is particularly well regarded. This Pre-Owned example is in Very Good condition, carries serial number 933112, weighs an excellent 8.66 lbs, and includes a hardcase.
